This year, we’ve added over 250 new agency and technology partners, including e-commerce platforms, customer service providers, digital marketing agencies, and more. We’re thankful for all of our partners and look forward to continuing to support our customers together.  

We grew our customer base by 273% throughout 2020.



Today, over 2,000 brands across retail & e-commerce, food & beverage, entertainment & media, and more rely on text messaging powered by our platform.

Many of our customers quickly pivoted their business strategies. And we made sure they didn’t miss a beat. We helped our customers achieve record-breaking e-commerce revenues via personalized text messaging.

Since March 7, we’ve hired and onboarded all employees remotely. 62% of our 550 employees joined Attentive this year—a 229% increase of our overall headcount since the start of 2020. Attentive has adapted to remote work, with employees working from 26 states (and counting). 

The number of messages we send on behalf of our customers is growing exponentially. On November 27, 2020 (Black Friday), we sent out the most text messages ever on a single day.

On average, 75% of online shopping carts are abandoned. With our triggered abandoned cart text message reminder, we helped our customers recover five million online carts, helping businesses automatically drive revenue without any extra work.

Like many others, we’ve gotten comfortable with remote work—and upped our slipper game. To date, our team has spent a total 12+ million minutes across 100,000+ Zoom meetings. That’s equivalent to about 23 years!

Our customers consistently tell us that SMS is a top three revenue channel for them. This year, our customers’ text messages saw an average 71x+ ROI, highlighting the power of personalized text messaging to drive revenue and brand engagement.

We doubled down on growth—raising both Series C and Series D funding rounds in 2020—bringing our total funding to $394 million from top investors like Sequoia, Bain Capital Ventures, Coatue, IVP, and more. We have a bold vision and look forward to building upon two-way communication between brands and consumers.
